They definitely are not darkening curtains. I have a pair that are darkening and keep our room dark but these do not! They also are not a good size for a wide window more would work with a window that you have to slid up.
I love the weave on this panel, it provides a nice texture other than a plain panel. The curtains hang beautifully, I used them in my daughters room and the room darkening is a great benefit for early morning sunlight. The silver grommets are really pretty & quite large adding another interesting feature. These weave & grommets add to the panels since I opt for the nude/beige color, makes them more interesting! They are of a nice weight with the backing & quality fabric and machine wash & dry!
I was planning to install these curtains in my living room, but they have a slightly shiny finish to them - almost like a shower curtain. Not at all what I expected, just not what I was looking for. :(
I really enjoyed using these darkening curtains it was perfect length and easy to put up. It’s a great material and love the crisp color and the curtains where thick which I love.
We were excited to see how dark our room could get. We are a third shift family, so sleeping during the day gets exhausting trying to make it all dark enough for you. We put these up, initially was okay, till we seen the sun come through. Wasn't happy. Not sure if it is the size of our rod, window, who knows. For now it's doing what it can to make it darker for us. But we may need a darker shade
